Hi, I'm Andrew. I'm a physical oceanographer, software developer, urbanist, and electronics hobbyist, among many other things. Find my musings on these and other topics over at my blog. I currently live in Corvallis, Oregon, home of Oregon State University.
This site is built and hosted entirely by me. I believe good websites are lightweight, fast, responsive, ad-free, and tracking-free, and this site is built to those principals. I use a Django backend with a PostgreSQL database and a combination of vanilla JavaScript, Bootstrap 5, and a little bit of custom SCSS for the frontend. It is hosted within Docker containers on a VPS, served behind an Nginx reverse proxy. I used this as an experience for me to jump into full stack development, and it's an ongoing learning process to be sure!
